Prager Metis Sponsors Shop for a Cause

Press Releases | Prager Metis | Jun 03, 2019

May 29, 2019 – New York, NY— Prager Metis CPAs recently partnered with renowned dress designer Jovani in sponsoring a Designer Pop-Up Shop fundraiser and Sponsor a Girl for Prom initiative.  The collaboration raised over $10,000 which will benefit the efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association in providing support programs for those affected by this disease, and their continued research in finding a cure for those affected.

In addition to the funds raised for Alzheimer’s Association, the event also provided designer prom dresses for five academically outstanding young ladies from low income families who could not otherwise afford a dress of their dreams.  Jovani, a premier designer of evening and wedding gowns and formal prom dresses, donated the dresses for the Sponsor a Girl for Prom initiative in addition to the private viewing and sale of their designer line of dresses which were available for purchase by Pop-Up Shop attendees.

Prager Metis team members expressed their thanks for the generosity of Jovani, to Mary Lubemba for organizing and running the Pop-Up on behalf of Prager Metis, and to Jay Futersack of Circle Realty Group and the facility owners and management of 225 West 34th Street, New York, for donating the space to hold the fundraiser.

The Designer Pop-Up Shop is one of many fundraisers for the Alzheimer’s Association that will be held by Prager Metis staff over the next year in their endeavor to reach their $250K annual goal.  The Alzheimer’s disease hits home for those of Prager Metis, as it directly affects many of our team members’ friends and loved ones, including both CEO and Co-Managing Partner Glenn Friedman, and Co-Managing Partner and Chairman of the Board David Neste, who lost their fathers to the disease.  “Continuing our partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association has been an incredible experience. I’m proud to watch our Prager Metis team members all coming together to bring us one step further to finding a cure to this disease,” said Glenn Friedman.
